Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do is a traditional martial art from Korean. Today, Tae Kwon Do has become the world's most commonly practiced martial art. Tae Kwon Do is characterized by fast, high, jumping, spinning kicks, and quick footwork. It is a all-around program that offers self-defense training, physical exercise, and artistic exression. Tae Kwon Do teaches more than physical fighting skills; it is a discipline that teaches ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind.

Haedong Kumdo

Kumdo is a tradiational martial art based on a Korean style of swordmanship, which is a modern adaption of sword techniques described in the an ancient Korean martial arts book. 'Kum' means the sword and 'Do' means the way of or path of self-improvement. Students learn forms, step drills, sitting and standing meditation, sparring, as well as, paper, bamboo, and straw cutting. The techniques and movements of Kumdo are beautiful and dynamic, with balance, speed, power, accuracy and oneness of body, mind, and spirit.

Enhance your training

  • As the history of our school and students has shown, competition and demos are an invaluable resource for students to learn and show significant growth in their training.

  • Breaking is used as a way for a Tae Kwon Do student to measure the precision and power of his/her techniques. Only concentrated power, focus and precise techniques will prevail when breaking more than one board.

  • Extreme will teach techniques that can be brought back to any traditional style to add some spice, to be utilized in demonstrations, and overall will help develop strength and agility to make anyone a better athlete.
